Philidor (47 games), Verdoni, De Legalle, Atwood, Wilson, Conway, Bowdler, Count Bruhl and other forgotten chess-players at the beginnimng of the 19th century. The last part (Appendix) is given to play at odds (the pawn and three moves) with illustrative games. 112 pages.
