This is the second and final volume of the biography of one of the most fascinating figures in the chess world in the early 20th century, the great artist Marcel Duchamp.
This second volume is divided into five main parts, arranged chronologically. The structure of each part is fairly similar. In each one, a subchapter deals with chess life in France and with Duchamp’s chess activities in each year.
Every major tournament or chess Olympiad is treated in a separate chapter. Much attention is devoted to the course of each tournament and Olympiad, both from Duchamp’s perspective and that of chess history in France at the time.
